By Ryan, on May 12th, 2012 You will hopefully have noticed that the website has changed somewhat. This new version is built on modern web technology which will not only make the site easier to use, but also far easier to manage and update. So easy, in fact, that we are hoping the church members will contribute directly to it.
With so much happening within the church and so many people being involved, there is too much work for just one person to do if this website is to be kept up to date and relevant. With that in mind, all Church Members will be invited to submit to the website, with the editors and admins just checking for typos and formatting errors.
Full details and more content to follow, but for now, any feedback or queries will be much appreciated.

By ValC, on May 12th, 2012 Those of you who were at Church Meeting in April will already be aware that the Elders Elections take place this year during the July Church Meeting, Thursday 26th July. Nomination papers will be available in the vestibule during May and must be returned to me by Sunday 27th May.
Mrs Carole Culliss, Mrs Hilary Redman and Mrs Bett Swierk have each served a three year term. Mr Wilfred Rhodes and Mr Matthew Smith have each served two extra one year terms. Mrs Valerie Cooper has served one extra year and is standing down this year. Mr Vic Joy and Mr Ryan Thomas are one year into their first three term.
Please prayerfully consider who you would wish to nominate and if approached please prayerfully consider your response. You must be a Church Member to be able to nominate and to stand for nomination you need to have been a Church Member for a minimum of two years. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask me or any of the Elders.
By Ryan, on December 1st, 2011 Jonathan Veira at the Royal Albert Hall
We are delighted to announce that we will be hosting Jonathan Veira at 7:30pm on March 2nd 2012. This multi-talented performer – who has performed the world over, including Glyndebourne and the Royal Albert Hall (see right) – has kindly agreed to include Goring United Reformed Church in the 2012 tour of his renowned one-man show, ‘An Audience with Jonathan Veira‘. The show is full of superb singing, hilarious anecdotes and chat and it will be a fantastic evening. But don’t just take our word for it:
“Jonathan Veira is the best one-man show I have ever seen,”
“A great and memorable evening”
“Notwithstanding Jonathan’s obvious musical talent, he has an ability to reach out and connect with his audience in a unique and sensitive way so that everyone in the room seems to be totally enthralled and captivated”
To purchase tickets (£10.00 standard, £8.00 concessions), please visit our events booking page.
